CommCop App — Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CommCop mobile application (the "App"), provided by CommCop Technologies (a unit of M/S. Haztech) ("CommCop", "we", "us", "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our App Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility
You must be at least [18] years old (or have verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian where permitted by law) and capable of forming a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to use the App.
3. Your account
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep it updated.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
- We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion (see Section 11).
4. The service
The App provides community-policing features which may include emergency reporting, incident reports, crisis alerts and tips, news and updates, traffic updates, know-your-laws information, community watch, events, polls, and similar features. Features may change, be added, or be removed at any time. CommCop is an independent platform and is not an official government service unless expressly stated for a specific feature or partnership.
5. Acceptable use
You agree that you will not:
- Submit false, misleading, hoax, or malicious reports, alerts, or emergency requests.
- Use the App for any unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, defamatory, or harmful purpose.
- Upload content that is obscene, hateful, infringing, or that violates the privacy or rights of others.
- Impersonate any person or authority, or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Interfere with, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App or its systems.
- Use automated means to access or scrape the App, or introduce malware.
Submitting a false report or misusing emergency features may be a criminal offence and may be reported to the authorities.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you submit ("User Content"). You grant CommCop a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, reproduce, and share your User Content as necessary to operate the App and to forward reports to the appropriate authorities. You are solely responsible for your User Content and confirm you have the rights to submit it. We may remove content that violates these Terms.
7. Reports and responses
Reports, tips, and requests may be routed to police, emergency, or governmental authorities and/or moderators. We do not control how third parties or authorities respond and accept no responsibility for their actions, decisions, response times, or outcomes.
8. Intellectual property
The App, including its software, design, logos, text, and graphics, is owned by or licensed to CommCop and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
9. Third-party services
The App may rely on or link to third-party services (e.g., app stores, maps, notification services). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, or availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CommCop, its directors, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App, including any failure or delay in emergency reporting or response. 11. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or for operational, legal, or safety reasons. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CommCop and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising out of your use of the App, your User Content, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party rights.
13. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any applicable consumer-law rights, the courts at Margao / South Goa, Goa, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
